Advocate
Raising awareness, breaking down stigma, and standing up for the needs of people living with epilepsy. Be heard.
Advocate · Educate · Support
Building a community where no one faces epilepsy alone — through advocacy, education, and genuine support.
Our Mission
Three commitments guide everything we do: we advocate for our community, educate to break down stigma, and support one another so no one faces epilepsy alone.
Raising awareness, breaking down stigma, and standing up for the needs of people living with epilepsy. Be heard.
Clear, accessible information on seizures, first aid, and living well — for patients, families, and the wider community. Be informed.
Welcoming support groups and genuine connection for people with epilepsy, their families, and caregivers. Be supported.
Our Vision
We're growing beyond the meeting room — taking advocacy, education, and support out into the community through new initiatives built around A.E.S.
Bringing epilepsy education to local colleges and universities — guest lectures and talks that reach students and the wider campus community.
Every support-group meeting includes a learning component — seizure first aid, treatment options, and living well — so members leave more informed each time.
Hosting awareness events across Bakersfield and Kern County to advocate, educate, and support people affected by epilepsy where they live.
